You might think summer is the perfect time to relax and take it easy, but when you’re done with your last few weeks of vacation, work on urgent projects for any clients or work. The reality can be a bit more hectic than that — nothing less than astounding will do! More often these days, people are looking at how they spend their free hours each week or month. Some find themselves overwhelmed by all demands placed upon them, while others enjoy doing what needs to be done without worrying whether someone else needs something first. So always have plenty set aside if things go wrong (and don’t forget this applies equally well if we’ve got deadlines coming up). So instead, let me ask: Have any great ideas lately?
What are your thoughts on having a strong motivation to generate ideas? It sounds complicated, doesn’t it? How can you do that when you’re too busy with other things?
Sometimes we think that judging other ideas will come to us so easily, but instead it takes work on how I would develop a design. Even if the problem seems simple at first, there are many steps and nuances involved in coming up with an ingenious solution or innovation for any given situation. It may sound like too much effort — after all, why should you bother when someone else has already thought about what needs doing? Well, maybe because those individuals were creative enough to want something new, rather than simply rehashing old strategies.
Sometimes this can happen when you’re in meetings, and your thinking “wow, that is an excellent idea,” or something along those lines. What I’ve learned over time was to talk with many people about the topic: designers, developers, etc., because they will all have their own perspective on things which may help push you forward creatively!
I’ve been asked countless times how I could move into my career. The truth is, there were many people who helped me on this journey, and some played a bigger role than others in the process.
Aha moments lead us all towards growth — when you learn from another person, things start clicking; as well they should! There are plenty of assets out here for those searching to make their way professionally or personally with laborious work, but also knowing which pieces fit together nicely, so no matter what stage our lives find themselves.
Keep pushing no matter where you are in your own journey. You will get there, and it will be worth it, I promise.
