🎊
As we bid to the festivities of 2023 and march into the uncharted territories of 2024, let us reflect on the illustrious concept of the “holiday cave.” This term, coined by the esteemed founder of our career group, Larry Cornett, brings not only the glittering lights and festive cheer of the holiday season to mind, but also a delightful retreat from the usual routine of professional endeavors.
Picture a special kind of cave. Instead of pointy rocks hanging from the ceiling, think of sparkling Christmas lights and the sweet smell of cookies baking. In this cave, you don’t hear work emails or think about deadlines. Instead, you hear the comforting crackle of a fireplace and happy holiday music.
However, the beauty of the holiday cave lies in its wonderful adaptability. For some, this cave might be filled with the latest movies, creating a personal movie theater experience, while for others, it’s a peaceful retreat where the biggest decision is choosing which cozy holiday sweater to wear.
As we all emerge from our respective holiday caves and blink in the bright light of the New Year, let us carry with us the wisdom of balance. The holiday cave teaches us that sometimes the most productive thing you can do is do absolutely nothing, or at least nothing work-related.
So here’s to find joy in our holiday caves, be it bedecked with tinsel or just brimming with the bliss of doing what we please. May our caves remind us that in the big show of life, taking a short break is not just okay, but essential for a fantastic performance in the coming year!
Believe accessibility is everything!
