Staring Outside

Normally I write about happy thoughts and motivated goals. This article could be a downplay for some. I’ve been talking to a few people about how they’re not happy in their jobs. I know many people are out of work and others are trying to break into some industry.

If we look back a few years and imagine where someone has started, they either have not had a job or have been laid off from a job. Took a boot camp, perhaps had a tough break-up. Maybe they are moving to another area. On the sunny side, they met a new friend. Maybe they started dating again, heck even got married. No matter what our struggles are. It is real. Many of us say we’re okay, but aren’t we? I think we tend to push through our “stuff” and don’t notice the small wins. I talked to another newcomer about how they felt different because they took a class. I recall when they first started, they felt like a fish that came out of the water. A few months later, they felt more comfortable in their skills.

So remember where you started and what you feel at the moment, no matter what you do. Take this time to think about what you or they have achieved. In my book, that is a win. Sometimes we don’t understand. We know what we didn’t get. I’m also guilty of that. Sometimes we have to talk to other people to hear their stories, so that we can be inspired to change our thinking. When do you listen? It changed things, you listen to a story, it will change how you might get your situation. The less, be you, and everything will work out fine.
