I’ve just spent at least five hours trying to solve a problem with Figma. Yes, learn a new tool. Remember, I tried to figure out my own process? I searched the Internet to find the answer. So now I am posted in all my slack channels and contact Figma support.
When you try a new tool and something you know exactly there, or you are doing a learning ability to figure it out. At times, you can figure it out and other times you want to through your laptop out the window 😫!
When I am learning something, I forget how particulars don’t work. Seek and solve yourself, and if you don’t. So I have to step back and do something else. I will face and solve the problem tomorrow.
Day 2: I am back and my head is clear, and the funny thing is that I ask another designer, and they show me what I was missing. I have to point it somewhere. Funny, so again it is wonderful to have people in your corner that you can trouble shoot. Sometimes learning software can be super fun, but when things don’t work as they should… Well, we learn, and it’s time to take a break. At the moment, I am so amazed at how Figma is, what this software can do.
I remember when Adobe, and it had everything. New tools, we learn different programs what works for us. No matter what the tool, at least we will have people in our corner who can help. So what is your “GO” to tool for things? I think mine will Figma once I start to learn it better. It’s always good to learn something new. I have a feeling Figma vs. Sketch is like the PC vs. Mac!
Believe accessibility is everything!
