“Please help us,” an elephant says during a field trip to the wildlife sanctuaries. Shocked, you realize you can now understand and communicate with all animals. Sympathizing with the animals who want to escape the wildlife sanctuaries, you hatch a plan to help them.

Now, I’m wide awake! Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away, and most of us are already daydreaming about what we’ll prepare for the feast. Turkey, pies, and oh, that delicious ham! It’s all about the food and, of course, family. Thanksgiving brings our loved ones together, whether we haven’t seen them in a while, some are traveling from out of town, or we’re remembering those who are no longer with us. Family isn’t always defined by blood; sometimes, it’s the people we choose to call family.

What more could we ask for? There’s always room for improvement in this world. Imagine this: if one person takes the time to help another, maybe even interviews them, they might discover unexpected potential. Too often, we get caught up in the details and forget to think outside the box. Are you one of those people?

I’ve been busy lately crafting leis and goodie bags for my family’s sports side hustle. It’s surprisingly enjoyable and takes me back to my studio days during grad school. I used to have my own studio, creating art day and night, chatting with friends while working on my litho-stone. Those were the days, but times have changed. We’ve all grown up, right? Or maybe not. Do we still throw a tantrum if things don’t go our way, just like when we were kids? Well, maybe not a tantrum, but perhaps a few choice words.

I know I’ve got my share of words, but I won’t be sharing them here. That wouldn’t be kind. Let’s just say they’re colorful and leave it at that. For me, the holidays are the best time of year. I enjoy getting everything ready, especially figuring out the perfect gifts for family and friends. It’s like solving a puzzle, like doing design research, and that can be fun.

I hope everyone reading this finds what they’re looking for in their career, love life, or goals. Just remember, you’re never alone, and there are people out there ready to help. You just need to find them. I promise they exist. Happy Thanksgiving, no matter how you choose to celebrate it!
