Today is the last day of May, June begins with holiday or staycation. Either way, summer is approaching. Family visits, trips to the park, a BBQ, swimming or learning to do something outdoors. What I’m getting out of is the time to take a break. You don’t always have to be in front of the computer or check your social media every five minutes.
This would be a good time to get a few more connections, which actually happens to me today. I cleaned a room and didn’t hear my phone. Someone left a message and I had to listen a few times. It turns out that it was an old college friend, we took art classes together. The last time we talked was six years ago! I could not believe it. Six years!
I called her back and we talked and talked. She told me what she was doing, and I told her what I was up to. It was so cool to hear what life had led her to do. She was doing her art and her own business. I was so impressed she started her own business. Starting your own business is so hard to do. I was so proud of her.
She told me she was going through her contact list, and she was cleaning it out. I told her an excellent idea, and hence this is how this article is born. This is an excellent way to reconnect with your tribe that you haven’t talked to in a while. You can tell them, “I’m cleaning out my contact list”… you can say your phone, email or anything. Everyone will get this because we have this old list on our phone and email list. This is a wonderful way to start your summer to get past your new connections.
Believe accessibility is everything!
