You have gone through the program. So you design your application and the boot camp is over. You start interviewing and you keep interviewing. Either you never got a callback, or you secured the first round and moved into the second round. Regardless of what, you can always look back on your portfolio and tweak it. Your portfolio is always a work in progress. Here are some oversights I have encountered while new designers have found their way through the design of an application.

Let’s talk about buttons as in numbers, 1, 2, and 3. Well, we call them Primary, Secondary and Tertiary buttons. Yeah, they go in that order.
Let’s start with the primary button. Primary buttons are the first buttons any user will see. They should be highlighted in the interface design and be eye-catching to the user. Saturated color is the ideal choice for primary buttons.

This shows three buttons of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Button

Always the number 2 follows and so does the secondary button. The secondary button uses soft colors instead of being at the center of the stage. They should be less noticeable, letting the primary button stand out more. It comes to basics and the secondary buttons are solely the next in line to the primary buttons.

The best for the last is the tertiary button, this design element moves from the primary and secondary buttons. This button has a lower action and this button should be all alone and not attract too much attention.

It is never too late to go back and update your designs again you don’t want to be married to your designs, remember you are solving another person’s problem, not yours.

Believe accessibility is everything!
